How the club has impacted me!
I first joined the Mariners in u15s after being scouted from North Shore Mariners. I played u15s but played up an age most weekends. I came from not playing in a high league to playing with the best in Australia, I thrived in this environment. I loved being the underdog who came from nowhere and had a point to prove. I had my ups, like being put forward for the national team trials, captaining my team and training with the A league. I also had my downs over the years, not getting along with coaches, getting injured and losing the enjoyment of the game. I am now in the U20s squad after pushing through the u18s proving that I was above that level and I should be in the U20s pushing first grade. I am now in my 4th year at the club and I am excited to see where I get with the mariners and where my ambition to be professional takes me.
