Build contractors is a contraction business run by Matt Fowler who is the dad of the family I stay with. I chose to intern in the construction field because I felt I wanted to see something different and see if I liked it or not. It has been quite good actually, we are working on a granny flat out the back of someone's house, perfect thing for someone on internship to work on because it is just a small house. I would go on an internship once every week and each week I would come back and the flat has completely changed. 

I have definitely learned a lot working on site and could see it as a way to earn some money but I do not see it as something I want to make a career out of. Going into this internship I felt I just wanted to learn a bit about trade and once I finished up with build contractors I felt as if I did. Whether it was learning by mistake or being told what to do by Matt.
